Scientific discovery is increasingly driven by theoretical and computational approaches that explore how complex biological systems are built from individual interacting components. The Integrative Biology Laboratory seeks to combine experimental and computational approaches to provide a systems level perspective on biological function and dysfunction. By conducting research on a diverse set of organisms and at different scales, we aim to uncover fundamental principles that govern biology and biological information processing. Our research tackles fundamental and applied problems ranging from development to disease, and from agriculture to human health and behavior.
